Supporting CEOs

Small business ownership can be a lonely place, but I’m here to help. I’ll listen to your challenges and successes, becoming a sounding board you can trust to value your ideas and respect your decisions. As well as mentoring you personally and professionally, I can sit on your board as a non-executive director. That way, you’ll always have someone on your side to provide advice and support.

Training Leaders & Teams

It’s important you feel we’re working in partnership. To do that, I can train you and your staff to grow your confidence in your finances and the choices we make together. I work with CEOs to improve your knowledge of your accounts and numbers so it’s easier for you to make those big business decisions. I also train finance teams so your colleagues know the actions they need to take and, more importantly, understand the value of the work they’re doing.

Setting Budgets, Forecasts & Scenarios

Planning is essential, but knowing what to do when things change will put your mind at ease. We’ll begin by looking at your budget with the team you have on board and the amount you have to spend, using that to build a forecast. Situations change, so the forecast we’ll prepare is fluid, meaning it can adapt as you do. By creating scenarios, we’ll look at what happens to your forecast when you do things differently. That way, you’ll know what you need to do to meet your targets and will be prepared to tackle whatever comes your way.

Making Plans & Creating KPIs

As a smart CEO, you’ll have an end goal in mind. I’ll listen carefully to understand what you hope to achieve and why, whether you’re expanding, exiting or selling. Then, we’ll create a detailed plan to get you there. Setting KPIs helps you keep track of those plans so you can meet your targets and measure the things that are most important to your business’s success. The right systems increase the visibility of your business, including any risks. I’ll talk to you about any worries you have and put an easy-to-understand risk management system in place, meaning you’re ready to take on any challenges.

Constantly reviewing your finances helps you meet targets in a way that works for you. We’ll do that together, analysing forecasts, turnover and client base to increase profits, potential and peace of mind. I’ll also show you how to review your figures in a way that matches your knowledge and needs. Then I’ll teach you how to make sense of the numbers that make a real difference to your business.
