Run Your Business With Confidence & Clarity

Understanding your business starts with getting to know you and your values

Hello, I’m Julie Bickerdyke.

I’m here to help you grow, both professionally and personally. To do that, I take time to truly understand what matters to you so we can work together to create and deliver the finance goals that will get you there.

If you’re not ready to employ a finance director, an outsourced FD will give you the knowledge you need at a time that’s right for you. It can feel like a big step bringing someone new into your team. So working with me should be a partnership, where we’re open to sharing ideas and acting on them with kindness and respect.

I want to make a positive change to your forecasts and figures as well as the way you feel about your business and your targets. I’ll help you make sense of your numbers, taking care of systems and spreadsheets and talking you through them in an approachable way for complete peace of mind.

Better Connect

Better Connect is a non-profit organisation. I joined the team when we launched 12 years ago, working my way up to become CEO. I’ve since moved on from the organisation, but I appointed Julie to her role, where she remains as a truly valued member of the team under its new leadership.

Matt Pugh: Hägen Wolf

One key person I knew was essential for my team was a financial director. I wanted that to be someone, like Julie, who had the demonstrable skills I needed. I knew Julie had been the MD, and sat on the board, of a large company. Expertise like that would be crucial for the firm to grow.

Tracey Walsh: East End Community Foundation

East End Community Foundation is a grant maker and philanthropy advisor. Our mission – and my goal as CEO – is to alleviate poverty in the East End of London using our own financial resources, as well as managing charitable giving on behalf of others.
